ANZ startups raise $25.1 million for automation, energy and AI - startups raise

Three ANZ startups raised $25.1 million this week, targeting automated ad production, industrial energy efficiency, and AI training platforms. Cuttable, Syncrowin, and SupaHuman secured new capital to scale their operations.

Automated ad production

Sam Kroonenburg’s Cuttable raised $20 million in Series A funding. The Melbourne-founded company automates the creation of social media ads using existing creative assets like product shots and videos to maintain a brand’s tone. Airtree Ventures led the round, with Square Peg returning alongside Rampersand and Glitch Capital. Kroonenburg said the financing values the company north of $142 million.

Founded in 2024 by Kroonenburg, Jack White and Ed Ring, Cuttable allows brands to draft and generate new social media ads at scale. For marketing teams, this kind of automated workflow removes the friction of manual production. Instead of re-editing assets from scratch for every platform, a brand can generate variations at scale while keeping the core visual identity consistent. The result is a faster cycle from creative brief to final output without losing the specific aesthetic that defines the brand’s identity.

Industrial energy optimization

Syncrowin secured $3 million in a pre-seed round to build an AI operating system for heavy industries. The platform targets sectors like electricity, oil, gas, and manufacturing to improve productivity and reliability. The round was led by New York’s Collide Capital, with participation from Hustle Fund, POV Ventures, Co-Ventures, Ventari, and angel investors.

AI for vocational training

SupaHuman raised $2.1 million in a Series A round to expand in Australia and strengthen its business in Aotearoa. The Wellington VC Movac led the financing, joined by Ecliptic VC, K1W1, Snowball, and Serge van Dam. Movac’s David Beard will join the company’s board.
