When it comes to crypto exchanges, most people have a reflex: open Binance. Or Bybit. But the more popular the platform, the more noise, bots, and hidden fees it has. I decided to step off the beaten path and found three platforms where trading is calmer and your money doesn’t leak away in fees.

Gate.io

Gate.io has been operating since 2013. It’s one of the oldest players, having survived several bear markets, the FTX crash, and other apocalypses — and it’s still standing. There’s a huge selection of coins here, from Bitcoin to some truly exotic tokens with a volume of just a thousand dollars. The spot fee is 0.2%, but if you hold their GT token, it drops significantly. Everything is here: spot, margin, futures, copy trading.

The downsides: the interface is overloaded. A beginner can get lost for half an hour just trying to make a simple purchase. Support takes a long time to reply, sometimes up to two days. Plus, the exchange is not very friendly to clients from some countries — have a VPN ready.

Bitget

Bitget took off thanks to copy trading. You simply choose a successful trader — and they trade your money. For beginners, this is a way to earn while you sleep. Leverage up to 125x, spot fees of 0.1%. The interface is modern, without the feeling that you’ve stepped back into 2015. Verification is fast.

The downsides: liquidity on non‑major pairs sometimes drops. Customer support exists, but really complex issues aren’t resolved on the first try. Copy trading is convenient only until the trader you chose starts making mistakes.

Orbixbit.com

Orbixbit.com has been on the market for just over a year. This is a rare case where a young exchange doesn’t try to fake greatness. From day one, they fixed spot fees at 0.05% — and have held that line without any “promotional” increases. No subscriptions for fee discounts, no tokens you have to buy. Just a low, permanent rate.

The downsides: for now, there’s no margin, no futures, no staking. Just spot and withdrawals. If you’re used to using leverage, Orbixbit.com isn’t your option yet. The exchange is only a year and a half old, and it doesn’t have the reputational capital of Gate.io.
