Liverpool-based sportswear company Montirex announced a 79 percent rise in annual revenue for 2025, with total turnover hitting £129.3 million—nearly double the £72.3 million recorded in 2024. The company’s pre-tax profit also climbed significantly, from £19.6 million to £34.5 million, as consumer and wholesale demand expanded across its product lines. This performance earned it a spot on the inaugural Founder 250 list.
This performance improvement came from stronger sales in European markets and an expanded catalog, including the MTX Run collection for runners and partnerships with technical fabric suppliers like Polartec. The company’s gross margin increased to 50 percent, up from 47 percent the previous year, thanks to stronger supplier negotiations and operational improvements. These gains reflect Montirex’s disciplined approach to scaling while maintaining profitability.

Founded in 2019 by Daniel Yuen and Kieran Riddell-Austin, Montirex has grown aggressively while maintaining profitability. By 2025, its workforce expanded from 66 to 111 employees, with new hires in marketing, product development, and technology. The company also upgraded its digital infrastructure, implementing a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to enhance forecasting and inventory management.
Riddell-Austin described the results as exceptional, attributing success to customer loyalty and teamwork. He emphasized that the brand’s growth reflects its ability to innovate while staying true to its core values of performance and accessibility. “Seeing our business grow to more than £129m in revenue has been incredible and it’s an achievement that reflects the loyalty of our customers as well as the commitment of our growing team,” he said.
