Our MSc will give you an in-depth knowledge of marketing from both an academic and practitioner’s perspective, enabling you to address marketing challenges in critical and creative ways. This module is designed to provide students with a good understanding of research theory and practice, from the perspective of marketing management. Those interested in pursuing a marketing career will often complete a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in the subject.
Recent graduates have progressed to professional roles such as Marketing Manager at Microsoft, Visual Merchandiser at Tesco and Marketing Analyst at Bank of Ireland, Digital Proposition Owner at The National Lottery. We also introduce you to three companies that are featured throughout the Digital Marketing Nanodegree program as examples of how to apply what you learn in both B2C and B2B contexts.
Marketing can help you attract new customers, focus on satisfying their needs and build lasting relationships. By the way, if anyone here is in advertising or marketing…kill yourself…you’re the ruiner of all things good…you are Satan’s spawn, filling the world with bile and garbage…kill yourself.
This module is essentially workshop-based, where students will role play members of an organisational management team as they develop plan and implement a new product or service for their organisation. Normally a plan will also include specific sales tactics, programs, management responsibilities, promotion, and other elements.
In the second term (Jan-May) you will have the opportunity to choose four option courses, such as International Marketing Strategy, that will enable you to tailor your studies towards your chosen career path. We have whipped up a mobile marketing cookbook; inside you will find steps to perfect your push notification recipe.
