International Business Major
International Business encompasses the study of public, private and not-for-profit organisations, both small and large, their management practices and processes, and the changing external and increasingly global environment in which they operate. Moreover, understanding foreign cultures is one of the advantages in doing business internationally. The Fox School of Business is globally recognized for its leadership in IB. Our academic programs in this field have consistently earned top-tier rankings at all academic levels.
Other ways that governments can affect the international business environment include protectionism or buying and selling land in poor countries. Through transfer agreements and institution partnerships, graduates of this Seneca College program may be eligible for credit at various post-secondary institutions.
In your first year, you are introduced to all aspects of business including accounting, financial reporting, business modelling and the global business environment. Differences in language, culture and law mean that business managers must have a specialized toolkit to tackle these issues.
Our program starts with a foundation of business studies in areas such as organizational behaviour, law, economics, finance and accounting, marketing, and operations management. Applicants who are accepted to the degree programme which they placed in highest place in the order of preference on the application form, cannot anymore at confirmation stage choose a study place from lower preference options.
By the end of this module, students will be equipped with the necessary tools to deal with current business issues including digital transformation through information systems and emerging business models via technological innovations. UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service) is a UK organisation responsible for managing applications to university and college.
